SPRING ELF

In the beginning I set out to make an outfit, FOR RENFAIRE! After careful consideration (and after many many hours enjoying the triumphant death of winter and reveling in all the glory that is spring) I decided the theme would be 'spring elf'. I figure that due to my theater background whenever I make a costume; it is not just a dress I make but an entire character. I try to give that character a name, an attitude, a purpose, a life. Therefore when making the clothes several things are taken into consideration such as the accessories; why she may have certain items, what she may need, what she treasures, ext...

So without further ado may I introduce you to Ruuaque (The forgotten and lost star) (aka Spring)! The fourth of seven elven princess of King Tyrnealtin (Children of the branch). Loving to explore I outfitted her with TONS of pockets. Not only for holding very useful things like fairy dust, elven rope, and lembas bread, but for collecting wonderful little trinkets that she finds along her journeys. Not as carefree as the youngest, yet not as pessimistic as the eldest; she maintains a healthy skepticism for the mortal world without allowing such prejudices to keep her from satisfying her curiosity of the world around her.
